It is known that serving the Noble Quran is regarded as one of the most honorable deeds.
Anas ibn Malik narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “There are seven (deeds) whose reward continues for their doer while he is in his grave after his death, and (this applies to) whoever teaches knowledge, runs a river, digs a well, plants a date palm, builds a mosque, bequeaths a copy of the Quran, or leaves a child who asks for his parents’ forgiveness after their death.” (Sahih Al-Jami`, hadith no. 3596)
Is there a real need for Sahm Al-Nour’s project to provide copies of the Noble Quran?
In fact, the need is so great for the following reasons:
- The resources of free Noble Quran printing are very limited
- Limited availability of the Noble Quran for non-Arab Muslims
- The increasing demand on the Noble Quran by Muslims and non-Muslims
- The Steady growth of the number of Muslims and non-Muslims in the world
- The urgent need for more translations (6600 languages and dialects in the world)
- The limited life- time of printed copies (3-5 years), and thus the need to re-print on a continuous basis.
How can Sahm Al-Nour continue to be a “Trust” Project for life?
- The Legal Aspect: Sahm Al-Nour made sure that legal documents take into account HR successive planning, to guarantee that work is carried to next generations that can maintain the highest level of performance possible.

Does the project accept donations for purposes other than trust shares?
Yes, the project accepts any kind of contributions provided that it serves the project specific objectives. Whether such contributions are meant to be used as “trust shares” or for management development and operation, they are welcomed.
Does the project have investment planning and accounting control mechanisms?
Yes, the project have a multi-level control mechanism as follows:
- First Level: the project deals only with companies that are subject to review by legal authorities in the countries within which they operate.
- Second Level: As part of its duty, the Board of Trustees, monitors the performance of contracted investment firms to make sure they meets the quality criteria acceptable by the project.
- Third Level: the project has contractual agreements with certified accounting offices to monitor and evaluate financial reports presented by investment firms.
Are the project’s objectives limited to printing the Holy Quran in Arabic?
No, The project will print and distribute copies of the Holy Quran and translations of its meanings in various languages.
Will copying the Quran on CD’s be considered as the printed Holly Quran?
Currently, the project focuses on printing paper copies of the Holly Quran. However, our future plan will take into consideration copying the Holly Quran on CD’s, Mobile phones, and other devices. When such media is approved by the project, there will be a comprehensive review of the “share” value, cost, distribution methods, etc. as per the vision and objectives of the project.
Can donors specify a particular country where their copies of the Holly Quran to be distributed?
Initially, distribution is an issue that is made according to needs identified based on studies and consultations; therefore it’s difficult to orient distribution mechanisms as per donor requirements. However, in some cases where the number of shares is large and when the territory identified covers big regions, specific distribution requirements will be possible.
